Feast on the Farm Preakness Party
Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)
HOPE - Horses Helping People's annual fundraising event, Feast on the Farm benefits HOPE while celebrating the second stop of the Triple Crown Series, The Preakness Horse Race. We invite you to take part in the excitement of horse racing, live music, dinner, unlimited cocktails, casino games, and our unique silent auction items.
We are honored to be invited back in 2012 to the beautiful rolling acres of Rembert Farm in Alachua, Florida.
All of the proceeds from Feast on the Farm Preakness Party will go towards continuing to provide equine-assisted activities to those individuals with special needs in Alachua county and surrounding areas.
We are currently looking for sponsorships to make our 2012 Feast on the Farm a success. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or making a donation towards the event, please contact Kristen Shimeall at KCShimeall@gmail.com or fill out the ticket form below.
A Bit About HOPE
HOPE was established as not-for-profit organization in 2000 to offer equine-assisted occupational therapy, therapeutic riding lessons, and equine-facilitated psychotherapy to individuals with special needs.
In 2009, HOPE developed a community outreach program called Pony Pals where our miniature horse of the barn, Rocky, visits groups in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and any other places throughout the community where people can use a little cheer in their life! Another program, Horses for Heroes, offers free therapy to veterans and service men and women. Both of these programs wouldn't be possible without the support of our community and successful events such as Feast on the Farm.
